Build a Community Media Resource
Create a unique community media resource with the Breaking News platform, and position your organization or business as the media hub of your community. Breaking News is a unique social media based system branded to your organization or business. You own the site and grow it by involving your community.
Why Breaking News?
Your community clamors for breaking news about your city, its events and practical tips like shopping deals. The Breaking News platform curates the best Twitter feeds in your city and presents them through a Breaking News website and its accompanying Twitter feed.
By curating local Twitter feeds, your Breaking News platform recognizes the institutions and businesses on Twitter in your community. They respond positively to the community service your organization or business is providing.
Who offers Breaking News as a community service?
Chambers of Commerce, Realtor Associations and other civic institutions can add value to their community and their membership. Domus provides a free social media training platform for association members to learn how to contribute to Breaking News. Many Breaking News are operated by businesses in real estate and media/publishing for community marketing and branding purposes.
Breaking News is low maintenance
Once set up, Breaking News is fully automated to continuously broadcast local real time updates on both the website and the Twitter account so it always “live“. As your local network builds, you communicate with your community and add new local Tweeters to your curated lists.
Breaking News comes with comprehensive training so your community can get involved
Your organization or business can provide free social media marketing training to your members, employees and others in your community through www.DomusU.com so they can benefit from contributing to Breaking News.

Pat,
I have had a breaking news site since June and it has made me more aware of who in the local community is active with Social Media. I am also building my brand recognition by conversing with businesses that I have featured on http://www.breakingSRQnews.com through their Twitter profile. I believe it works for my real estate brand awareness campaign and it will only be a matter of time before I realize business from my efforts. I highly recommend that if you want to be the hub of your community, I advise you to, “Get on board”.
