Wow Pat, this is really interesting stuff! This is a great way to take advantage of tools like Twitter to really get hyperlocal info, and get it out to the community….a great way to become the #1 expert..thanks for putting that together. Spreading the word:)

Marc, I agree, Twitterfeed.com has its faults and sometimes just doesn't work... anybody out there with a Twitterfeed alternative?

Great stuff. Thanks for posting. However, I wonder if there’s a good alternative (maybe not Web-based) to Twitterfeed. As I’m doing the project you’ve outlined, it’s going excruciatingly slowly as Twitterfeed seems to hang or comes back with errors, or takes forever to complete the process as I’m loading it with RSS feeds. I’d really like to complete the project, but it’s hard to justify the time it’s ending up taking.
